We are Collaborating with Others

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Unprecedented numbers of people are struggling with mental health conditions. Among those struggling with mental illness, many find their symptoms are worsening due to lack of access to mental health care. Many mental health professionals are unable to accept insurance. In other cases, health insurance—including Medicare—fails to adequately cover mental health care.

At Restoring Connections, we are collaborating with others to respond to the need.

At Restoring Connections we are collaborating with other organizations, including

to educate others and advocate for legislative change.

Our Soul Care providers are trained in mental health issues and trauma-informed care. They are available to people from the community interested in a Soul Care approach. Within the state correctional facility, our Soul Care Mentors companion incarcerated women in a process of healing.

If you are interested in training as a Soul Care provider or in volunteering with women in prison, find further information on our website www.restoringconnections.org or contact us at info@restoringconnections.org.
